Decent player with a few annoying drawbacks

It's a decent karaoke machine for the money. The sound issue that everyone is talking about (distortion from the mic) is probably due to the output they chose on the back of the machine. There are two different outs to connect to your speakers. One sounds distorted, the other is fine (can't remember which is which now but one is specifically labeled 'Karaoke' and I "think" that you do NOT want it coming out of that one to go to your speakers. My biggest gripes with the player are: 1. Once you configure all your settings (there are a lot) and then turn the machine off...it loses all those settings. So each time you turn it on you have to set everything back up again (turn off score, set to stereo out, set to 1080p, set mic volume. reverb, delays, full range, etc). 2. My other complaint is that no matter how I put my avi files (I convert my mp3-cdg to avi files) on the machine...it puts them in whatever order it wants. I put each all of my songs into folders (A-Z) so 26 folders in all. For some reason it sorts the T's at the top...then it will be in order for a while and then suddenly the G's will show up out of order, etc. I have tried time stamping each folder (and all songs in it) in chronological order and have also tried time stamping every folder (and every song) with the same time stamp. Still doesn't matter. I have yet to figure how it determines a sort order. So yes it is a decent karaoke machine and we have had a lot of fun with it, but the two things above are pretty annoying.

Hooked up the DGX-213 karaoke player today. It had a very good sound, even through the tv speakers, can't wait to connect a good set of speakers to it. I am very pleased with the player and look forward to ripping my karaoke cds into mp3 format onto thumb drive.

I put several discs on the SD card. It takes some effort to get the menus set up on your computer, once done, much better than using discs.

I got this for the family for Christmas, and we are having fun with it. Works great was real simple to hook up with the hdmi. The only thing I noticed is when you use the remote you have to point it right at the player.

This little machine is lightweight and easy to use. Love the HDMI connection which gives you clean graphic and fantastic sounds quality. This a great karaoke player for party and family get together. This machine can rip CDG to MP3G, however, you will have to name each songs yourself. This is not a problem for me because I usually name my songs with specific code and title. Overall, I have pretty happy with this purchase.

Dgx213 failed second time used m c u error . No mention of this fault in trouble shooting . Bought a 1T hard drive to use to convert my c d g only to be told by acesonic the hard drive was to large . Returning the machine for refund

recorded to flash drives, only one bad point, it dosen't tell you when the flash drive is full, and it drops songs, add songs, and takes them out of order. other then that there great.

Needed a Karaoke machine that would be simple to operate and connect to my system. I have a Yamaha Home Theater system and a 55" HD Plasma TV. My old system only had composite out and the tv would not display very well. Also required a separate connection to the sound system. The Acesonic DGX-213 has an HDMI output, one connection with the HDMI cable to the Yamaha system was all it took to get setup and running. Utilizing a Logitech Harmony one programmable remote the Acesonic DGX-213 was effortlessly added to the remote and now only have to click my new "Sing Karaoke" button and we are off and running. The Logitech Harmony One takes over most of the remote functions automatically. Overall has exceeded my expectations.

Exceeded all of my expectations

This karaoke player beats out all of the 'other guys." It is powerful (100 W output) and is crystal clear. Works great with my 150W self powered amps (3). I especially appreciate the volume controls. Now I don't have to adjust my volume level on each amp for each karaoke disk I play. This player is loaded with accessories that I don't even know how to use. If you are into recording, you can't beat this machine. Has all the functions you may need and more.

Fairly east to set up, and works better than I expected. Can play most karaoke disc and they show up on my 42" TV very well. I have not tried to record and make copies yet, but the main function of singing along works fine. Mic imputs work without any special setup and if you add a mixer the sound is great, but by itself the mikes are the usual sound for this price range. I used my $99 Behringer XENYX 1204usb mixer and run the mikes thru the mixer instead of the Karaoke player...makes a nice set up.
